How likely is it that a veterinary practice will train you to be a vet assistant without schooling?

i want to be a veterinary assistant so bad which i believe mainly consists of front desk work but also deals with the animals somewhat too.i tried taking an online course and i just need the in school experience. i live in milwaukee wi and the closest school to me for that is in madison and i dont want to travel because i want to keep my job, i cant just drop my job to go to school and i dont want to live elsewhere. how likely is it that a veterinary office would train someone who doesnt have any schooling in it.
