Help with moving to wisconsin or minnesota?

2 yrs ago my family and I moved from calif. to gastonia/charlotte, nc for economic reasons. during this time we have found the people here to be hickish and the general atmosphere to be what we are not wanting. we were thinking of moving to either madison/milwaukee/green bay, wi or minneapolis area. we have an 11 yr old son who is extremely smart ( tops in his class-won 11 awards at his 5th grade graduation) and want a place to raise him well with good schools, good neighborhoods, and most of all intelligent people to deal with. I have over 15 years of warehousing and managerial experience so any ideas on where the better jobs are would also be helpful.
