Why do you think my mom wont let me visit my bf at college?

My boyfriend and i started to date about two months ago and at the time i knew that he would be looking for an apartment for down in Milwaukee because he is going to school there. From the start i have told my parents that i was planning on visiting him once he got settled with school and work. I am also applying for LTC and going to work every other weekend during the school year. He is going to be in one of the safest neighborhoods near the campus. I am the only girl and also the baby so i do think that this might be the issue but the other one is that they don't want me wasting my money driving down there and i wouldn't be going down every weekend. Or if it is because they don't want me to be driving there. But the thing is that it shouldnt be because of the distance because i have to drive more than that to babysit for my moms coworker. SO i guess my real question is if you think that is is right for me to be going down there to see him. And what she doesnt see is that if she doesnt let me do this she is just going to push me away and im going to move out.
